I have been involved in the IT industry for the past 25 years, both as an IT solutions consultant and a senior recruitment professional.
Immediately after my postgraduate studies, while still in my original home country of the Netherlands, over a period of 7 years I was a co-founder of two technology services start-ups. The first of these provided marketing and sales services to software consultancies, the second provided training and consultancy in distributed systems development. After moving to New Zealand, I spent a further 8 years consulting on, and delivering, IT projects for Auckland based software development companies.
For the past 10 years, I have worked for well known Auckland based national IT recruitment agencies as a Senior IT Recruitment Consultant - supporting clients' ongoing needs for technology staff and contractors to ensure the success of BAU operations and projects.
I am passionate about supporting clients in using the transformational potential of technology, and am a strong believer in consultative relationships based on clear and transparent communication.
In creating Essent, we were able to harness the collective experience - in consulting, IT, and recruitment - of two like-minded experienced Consultants with complementary skills and similar values. We love collaborating to provide our clients with a highly professional, relationship based recruitment consulting service.
Outside of work I love spending time with my partner on our lifestyle block on the outskirts of Auckland or enjoying time outdoors hiking, kayaking, or sailing.

My passion is building strong relationships with organisation leaders, supporting them in building teams of skilled and motivated professionals to deliver against business objectives. I am approachable, professional, pragmatic, flexible, adaptable and responsive to client needs. I also hold myself to a strong set of values.
With 14 years of recruitment experience including leading branches for well known Recruitment Agencies as a Branch Manager and Managing Consultant, through to HR Consulting. In one particular leadership role I established a brand new IDT recruitment function. Most recently I have had an intensive year as a specialist IDT Recruitment Consultant. Regardless of role title I have enjoyed engaging with clients at a strategic level, orchestrating value delivery with the resources at my disposal. I delight in ensuring clients expectations are exceeded.
My work with Seraphanon over the last decade has assisted clients in identifying ways to optimise their businesses by streamlining business processes, achieving highly performing teams. Placing the right people in the right teams and providing the required training. Using this approach, I have assisted in creating high performing SME’s.
I have a wicked sense of humor, a ready smile (with the occasional very loud, infectious laugh) and an optimistic, positive attitude.
